One of the original beach cottages on the strip, Barra Beach Club was upgraded extensively by the beach-lover owners and in 2010 this elegant hotel opened it’s doors to the public. Great attention to detail can be seen in the effortless charming decor. All the rooms were designed with the comfort of our guests in mind. Scuba diving with manta rays and whale sharks, quad bike tours through the local villages, fishing charters, ocean safaris (look out for dolphins, humpback whales and loads more) mangrove kayaking, surfing and dhow rides to nearby islands are just some of the activities on offer. The restaurant at Barra Beach Club boasts an impressive a la carte menu with fresh seafood main-lining! Succulent Prawns in a yummy Portuguese sauce, the fiery Mozambican Peri Peri Chicken and grilled Calamari are some of the favourites featuring! Enjoy your breakfast on the patio, while overlooking the tranquil garden before heading off on a fun-filled day. Our rates are inclusive of dinner, bed and breakfast. Lunch is available at our beach bar Agua de Coco and there are also lots of other restaurants, within walking distance, to be visited.

Barra Beach Club is the perfect setting for clients who want to explore wild Mozambique yet stay in a comfortable & luxurious environment. Situated 23km from Inhambane, a town rich in history and scenery. Inhambane currently has one of the largest operating dhow fleets. Local fisherman are out daily, fishing to support their families and supplying lodges with the freshest fish. Inhambane is a beautiful little town with broad streets, flanked by ancient trees and graceful architecture.

The resort is approx 500km from Maputo, 990km from Johannesburg and 1070km from Durban. There are daily flights from Maputo and Johannesburg to Inhambane Airport and we do offer airport transfers.
