Mozambique is welcoming more visitors from all around the World.
And at the beginning of May 2023 a VISA EXEMPTION was approved for passport holders of the following 29 countries: America; United Kingdom; Canada; Switzerland; United Arab Emirates; Israel; Japan; Russia; Belgium; Denmark; Spain; Norway; Sweden; Netherlands; Saudi Arabia; Republic of Korea; Côte d’Ivoire; Finland; Ireland; Ghana; Senegal; Indonesia; Singapore; Germany; France; Italy; Portugal; China & Ukraine.
Passport holders covered by the Visa Exemption entering Mozambique should register in advance through the website: www.evisa.gov.mz at least 48 hours before arrival and on payment of MZN 650 (around USD 11.00). Note: pre-registering has temporarily been suspended, until such time as the online system is working smoothly. So, payment can be made on arrival, but this could change at any time. Please check requirements before traveling.
For passport holders of countries that do not qualify for an e-visa, the cost is USD 50.00 per visa available on arrival. Although it is possible to pay by card, we do recommend you travel with sufficient cash in case the card system is not functioning. (Only Visa or MasterCard – Diners & American Express not permitted)
According to new Mozambican rules, please also check that clients have:
- Minimum 6 months validity of passport
- Minimum 2 consecutive white pages on passport
- Return flight tickets (if traveling by air)
- Booking confirmation (Visa Letter): proof of hotel reservation issued by the accommodation booked in Mozambique. We will assist you in order to be sure you have the correct documentation.
Passport holders of the following countries do NOT require a Tourist Visa for Mozambique: Angola, Botswana, Comoros, Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
